Fellowship consideration is based on ISCB membership, accepted work to ECCB2022 and country economic status based on World Bank rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block stk-68fec5b\" data-block-id=\"68fec5b\"><style>.stk-68fec5b .stk-block-heading__bottom-line{height:1px !important;width:100% !important;background-color:var(u002du002dpaletteColor4,#0081a7) !important;margin-top:20px !important}<\/style><h2 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\"><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor4, #0081a7);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Travel fellowship application overview<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>The applicants <span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\"><strong>must be the presenting author of at least one submission<\/strong><\/span> sent in the calls for Proceedings, Highlight Papers, Applications or Posters. \u200bThe presenting authors can send a travel fellowship application before receiving the acceptance notification for their submissions; if their submissions are accepted for presentation at the conference, they will be shortlisted among the candidates who applied for travel funding<\/li><li>The applicant must be a <strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">current member of ISCB<\/span> <\/strong>before applying.<\/li><li>All applicants <strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">must attend all four days of the main conference<\/span><\/strong> (September 18-21) and secure additional funding from other sources to be able to cover the full costs of attending the conference.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel fellowships can be used to pay for partial or full costs of ECCB2022 conference registration, travel expenses, a maximum of 650 EUR in hotel accommodation, a maximum of 120 EUR in meal allowance, and COVID-19 testing. Additional expenses, such as registration fees to attend workshops, tutorials and satellite meetings, will not be eligible for reimbursement. The grant will be sent to the funded applicant <strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">after the ECCB2022 conference.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Applying for a fellowship does not guarantee that you will receive funding. If you require a fellowship to attend the conference, do not register until after being notified that you have received an award<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block stk-ed37833\" data-block-id=\"ed37833\"><style>.stk-ed37833 .stk-block-heading__bottom-line{height:1px !important;width:100% !important;background-color:var(u002du002dpaletteColor4,#0081a7) !important;margin-top:20px !important}<\/style><h2 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\"><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor4, #0081a7);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Requirements<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"stk-block-heading__bottom-line\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Applicant must be <strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">the presenting author of an accepted ECCB2022 proceedings paper, highlight paper, application or poster.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li>Applicant <strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">must be a current ISCB member<\/span> <\/strong>whose membership does not expire prior to the last day of the conference (September 21, 2022). Memberships must be paid in full prior to the submission of a travel fellowship application.<\/li><li>These fellowships are reserved for MSc students, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with a position at an accredited university or college at the time of the conference.<strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\"> Evidence of student or postdoctoral status is mandatory to meet the eligibility criteria.<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li>The applicant must pay for the costs of attending the conference upfront. After the conference, applicants will be asked to <strong><span style=\"color: var(--paletteColor5, #1a1a1a);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">submit receipts for travel that equal or exceed the announced award amount <\/span><\/strong>to receive the full award funding.
