Biography:

Joe Zaccari is Vice President at Corfin Industries LLC in Salem, New Hampshire. Joe has been involved in the electronics manufacturing and design industries for more than 25 years, holding individual contributor and management positions in engineering, program management and operations.

In this role at Corfin Industries, Joe is responsible for the development and implementation of component preparation and managed inventory programs to support military/aerospace and other high-reliability electronics manufacturers worldwide. Joe’s current focus at Corfin Industries is on mitigation of reliability problems associated with lead-free electronics and component obsolescence.

Joe is Corfin Industries’ representative to the GEIA G-12 and APMC committees, a member of the Technology Forecaster’s Quarterly Forum on Electronics Manufacturing and past President of the Oregon SMTA Chapter.

Joe has participated in several military/aerospace initiatives on lead-free electronics:

• Navy ManTech TMTI Robotic Hot Solder Dip Tin Whisker Mitigation Project.
• AIA-AMC-GEIA Lead-free Electronics in Aerospace Project Working Group (LEAP WG)
• Joint Group on Pollution Prevention (JG-PP) Joint Test Protocol J-01-EM-026-P1 for Validation of Alternatives to Eutectic Tin-Lead Solders used in Manufacturing and Rework of Printed Wiring Assemblies

Joe has presented on reliability issues related lead-free/tin whiskers, hazardous materials, component obsolescence and electronic systems design issues at domestic and international military/aerospace, Medical and Automotive conferences.
