Biography: Ralph H. Justus Mr. Justus is Vice President, Standards & Technology for the Electronic Components Association where he oversees and manages its standards initiatives. ECA is the global supply chain sector representing manufacturers and suppliers of passive and electro-mechanical electronic components, connectors, wire and cable, component arrays and assemblies, and materials and support services. He has over 25 years experience participating in domestic and international standards setting organizations and activities including those of IEEE, SMPTE, ITU, IEC and CISPR. He served on the Boards of the IEEE, ANSI, the Advanced Television Systems Committee, the HDTV Model Station Project and the Wireless Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center. Mr. Justus previously managed the technology policy and standards development programs focused on broadcast, consumer electronics and telecommunications technologies, their enabling components and regulatory environments at the USTelecom Association, the Consumer Electronics Association, the National Association of Broadcasters and the Federal Communications Commission. He is past President of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society and the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society, and currently serves on both their Administrative Committees. He is a Board Member of ECCB. He lives with his son in Bethesda, Maryland and his leisure activities include golf, reading, sailing and playing drums.
